The only questions would be where on the transmission the wire hooks up. If you want to play with the lockup feature you can find the wiring diagrams for how they were used originally they had a vacuum switch and a brake switch iirc.

Well when i contacted a friend that works at the chevrolet dealership by the way he is the service manager for over 30 years he said that it sounded right about the switches but wasnt sure about which one is which and that this model didnt have a computer but only a ignition timing advance control.

The wire plug ins for the transmission turbo 350c are still there but not hooked up for the lock up torque converter to do its thing im guessing because of the aftermarket intake and vacuum lines and maybe the distributor not being the type that has 2 sets of wires that connect up to the wireloom as originally set upwhats the best way to. I do not remember my 76 having a lock up converter.

Torque converter lockup and unlock when letting off the throttle and when using a lockup switch. So far i cant complain even though it may not be as high tech as a 700r or other od auto. Look at that and see if that is the wire you are seeing.

Cant comment on mileage since its always been like this but its not great. Can anyone let me know what the side effects of running the th350c without hooking up the lock up wiring. Of course you do not have to wire up the lockup to make a th350c work as a regular th350 but since most of my miles are over longer distances this is texas i elected to see if the lockup would help.

On the body wiring diagram the brown wires are running lights it should be in a 4 wire loom that runs down between the steering column and chassis. On the 200 700 theres a four pin weather pack plug but it has to go into a specific terminal. Probably will go with a lock up convertor next time though.
